Cold Wave and Fog !!!

Since plains of Punjab are under dense fog since last many days due to continous dry weather prevailing over country.As a result today min of Faislabad and Multan was recorded 09C.

DI khan in central pak was at -01C.

Cold wave is still active over most of country but a slight increase in min and max temp expected in upper and central pak by start of new year for 2-4 days as Siberian winds will cut off due to Low formation in Bay of Bengal.

No Major system of rain in sight for country till few days.Northern areas will remain below 00C alongwith north balochistan.
Sindh may see moderate fogs in upper parts.

Foggy conditions may continue till mid of janaury as stated previously too.
Fog at night and morning time has caused a lot of problems to traffis, flight schedule and trains timetable.
Beside this many road accidents occuring daily causing injuries to people.

Cold Wave for Country !!!

Fog and passing clouds a common thing people of Punjab and kpk experiencing since few days.
Fog expected to reduce in intensity from friday as a WD is passing through north of pakistan and sending its currents to Balochistan as well.

But foggy days will continue in Plains of Punjab within nest few days with gaps.

No sufficient WD for country soon.

A severe cold wave is just to approach country from thursday and expanding from north to south on friday.As a result significant temp drop expected across the country that is 3-5C in upper half anf 2-3C in southern parts.

Parts of kalat,Quetta,Makran expected to receive light rains tonight and tomorrow.
Light rain and light snowfall chances for GB,kashmir and Malakand divisions on thursday/friday.

Passing clouds and fog at times for much of upper Punjab,Kpk and some of central Punjab on thursday/Friday with out side chance of drizzles in north punjab tip on thursday ngith/friday.

Plains more cooler than Islamabad !! Dry cold in North !!!

Now-a-days as in every season we see thick fog cover over most areas of punjab,some of  kpk and upper sindh.
Continous fog since 4 days in plains of punjab has made max to stay around 8-11C.While min between 2-4C.

While Islamabad sees passing fog in morning and goes upto 18C during day time with hazy sunshine.
Continous fog in punjab always made plains more cooler in past too..Even plains have recorded -1c to -2,7c in last years during foggy days as minimum temp.

North Pak (Kashmir and GB) facing extreme cold wave with dry days and clouding periods Sakardu recorded -09c last night as was most cooler city in country.
Quetta including much of north balochistan moving around -4c to -7c as min temperatures.
Sindh also seeing cold days and night due to fog cover in north and upper cities...Sukkur,larkana,moro around 6-7c as min and 15C as maximum now a days.

No Major change in weather expected in next few days.Northeast and North Pak,Balochistan can receive Winter rains by start of Janaury but still under observation.

Cold weather and Fog update !!!

Extreme dry and cold weather prevailing across the country.Winter is at its peak now in pakistan.Fog has gripped much of punjab and adjoining plains in country since yesterday morning.
Min And max has dropped to range 1-5C and 15-18C at plains today.

Fog likely to decrease by friday as some clouding expected in upper parts of country converting to thick clouding on sunday in north punjab,upper kpk,islamabad and kashmir.Chances of light rain and snowfall in mentioned areas on sunday late or monday.

Southern parts will stay dry n cool.Fog to reach upper sindh tomorrow.

Updated Friday Night !!!

Weather Update for weekend!!
Low formed over central/south india gaining strength from Western jet streams...Will be at its peak intensity on saturday and sunday.
As a result widespread moderate to some heavy rains expecte din much of northern india,jammu kashmir and some central indian states with chances of hails and snowfall in north.

For pakistan nothing much from the system as focus remains over north india...But cloudy weather will remain dominant over upper pakistan during weekend.
Chances of isolated light to moderate rain in sialkot,gujrat,gujranwala, lahore,jhelum,kashmir and rawalpindi divisions mainly on saturday afternoon onward till sunday evening.
Light snowfall expected over murree,galiyat and kashmir hills.
Islamabad and sargodha divisions will remain cloudy with chance of drizzles.
Fog expected in much of upper and central pak from next week.
Mainly dry and cool weather will continue in sindh and balochistan.
GB and north kpk will also get light rain and light snowfall on sunday.

Max temp dropped by 3-4C at upper parts of country today.

Islamabad remained at 22C,Lahore 21C,Peshawar 23C,Murree 12C..

While Min for both islamabad and lahore was 04C.

Cold wave Arrives !!!!

A moderate cold wave of season has started to effect northern and western parts of country.During last night 2-3c drop recorded in min temp across these areas.
Sakardu stayed coolest with min of -07C while Islamabad was at 03C last night.
MOre drop expected as cold wave will expand to eastern and central parts of country in next 24-36 hours.
No Proper rains for country in next few days.But light rain chances seems for northeast punjab,kashmir,islamabad and Gb during coming weekend.

Shalllow fog has started in southern punjab and dense foggy period is expected to start around coming weekend in plains of central and upper pakistan.

Long dry period across the country !!!

Since last few days dry weather is prevailing across most parts of country.During last two days day-time fast dry and cool western winds observed at much of upper and central Pakistan.

These dry winds causing severe problems of breathing for people along with flu,skin roughness etc.
Current conditions will continue till a proper WD arrives over country which is not in seen atleast till 20-22 december.

A 1-2C rise in max/min temp recorded in last two days.But drop will start from tomorrow and with each passing day coldness will increase in country.
Cold wave might effect north Balochistan and adjoining kpk from wednesday which will prevail to central and northern regions in next 2-3 days resulting in drop of day and night temperatures.

Conditions still not suitable for fog to start.We normally observe fog starts by mid/end of december.This time chances are very low for mid december uptill now.
