Pre-Monsoon Over north and Heat in south !!!


Karachi – 20th June, 2015: 45°C 
Yesterday was a record hot day in Karachi history by following stats:
1) It was the hottest days of last 15 years; 45.5 was recorded on 7th June, 2000.
2) It was the first ‘45°C’ also in Karachi since June, 2000.
3) It was first time ‘in June’ since 2000 that Karachi temperature reached 45 and first time since 23rd June, 2007 that it touched & crossed ‘44° in June’
4) It was first time since 21st May, 2011 i.e. in 4 years that Karachi temperature crossed 44°C.
5) It was the hottest day of any Ramzan in my life that at least for last 26 years, last time the hottest days of Ramzan I experienced was in late September of 2006 when about a week long heat wave in Karachi with max temperature around 38 to 42.
So in Top 3 hottest days in my life:
1 – 7th June, 2000 (45.5)
2 – 20th June, 2015 (45)
3 – 23rd May, 1989 (45)

Widespread Premonsoon rain-thundershower occurred in upper Punjab, Hazara division and Kashmir while at isolated places in Malakand, Peshawar, Bannu, Kohat, D.I Khan, D.G. Khan, Hyderabad, Zhob divisions, Islamabad and Gilgit-Baltistan. Weather remained very hot and humid in other parts of the country.

Rain-thundershower associated with gusty winds is expected at scattered places of Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Hazara divisions and Kashmir, while at isolated places in Malakand, Peshawar, Kohat, Bannu, Mardan, Sargodha, Sahiwal, Lahore, Faisalabad, Zhob, Mirpurkhas divisions, Islamabad, FATA and Gilgit-Baltistan in next Hot and humid weather is likely in other parts of the country.
