Friday 5 June 2015

Since the start of June,2015 weather taking many twists across the Pakistan. As the northern areas were enjoying cold effects due to prevailing WD,southern parts of country were sizzling with hot conditions.Sindh cities were having normal temperatures of 45-48C but Coastal belt of Balochistan like pasni, jeewani, gawadar were going crazy with temperatures rising upto 49.5C at pasni...
Main reason for this sudden rise was arrival of northwestern winds over coastal baluchistan.

Islamabad on other hand seeing very pleasant summers,Both min and max temperatures of city remained below normal in whole month of may. Hardly 3-4 times capital recorded above 20c as minimum temperature..
Days remained below normal too with max of 39C for month of may.

Rains due to WD over scattered areas of country made temp to fall across the region. Many areas of sindh got severe Thunderstorms and temp dropped to 20c even below for some stations.
Hyderabad city got 38 mm rainfall while A/P reported 08mm rainfall with gusty winds.
Dadu, rohi, mithi, badin, sukkur, larkana and adjoining areas also got handsome rains.

Current system has almost ended over the country but isolated rain chances will remain there for parts of kashmir,Islamabad, GB and northern KPK.

Heat will increase in many parts from sunday/monday and temp will rise up quickly.
We  see temperatures for Upper parts will not go for a new record of high mark as PMD expected below normal to normal temp for much of upper and northern pakistan during month of june.

A low pressure area which is going to form in arabian sea will move toward N/NW direction by sunday.Till now no chances of its converting to cyclone and probably it will fizzle out in sea before hitting any land.No threats for any coastal area of Pakistan.

Premonsoon activities expected for Upper and eastern parts of country around mid of june.
